The real test will be in 2 weeks when they go to Oakland, don't laugh, only "real" teams avoid these trap games and win against the worst teams.
Well I guess it's ok to laugh a little, but the Eagles ain't laughin', they would be 6-1 and in sole possession of 1st place in the NFC North had they played that day in Oakland.
Instead they are tied with Dallas and 1 game ahead in the loss column over N.Y.

And Philly plays Dallas this week, at least they are at home. I'm taking the Eagles.

This game against the Ravens may help determine the eventual winner of the AFC North. Cincinnati with the home field advantage, if they can win will improve their divisional record to 4-0 and if Denver were to beat Pitt. the Bengals would be in sole possession of 1st place and in the driver seat, or at least until they go to Pittsburgh next week What they have to prove is that at mid- season they are the real deal and not a first half fluke. They come off a bye week as did Denver and we know what the Ravens did to Denver. If Cincinnati wins their next 2 games they will be the AFC NORTHS divisional champ.
I believe they already proved they are the real thing, My pre-season predictions had them in the playoffs as a wild card, I didn't think they would be 2 wins from the division.
As long as they keep calm and keep their ego's in check I believe they can do it!!!

At the beginning of the season I would of never pictured Denver or Cincinnati where they now stand, I just figured the Bengals had to many internal problems, and with the loss of T.J. Housmandzadeh? I guess it wasn't that big a loss. Lets hope they can.
I think the loss of Odom will hurt them more than people realize. It's a shame, as he was primed to have a monster season.
The nest two games will tell all of us if they are for real. They are tough but for real, not sure yet. I think it will be a tough next two games for them. I think if the Ravens play them the way they did the Broncos, could be a long day for Palmer and Co. And I will be more than positive with this statement , that I think the Steelers will be ready for them this time and wil not take any thing for granted, I think they will put up the points needed to beat them, I dont think the Steelers are just going to hand it to them or the Raven , My money is on the Ravens and Steelers winning the next ones against the Bengals,.
I say they lose to the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets. Going 12-4 they get first round bye. They win the super bowl, happily ever after.

I think it would be a good idea for you to stay far away from the new casinos when they build them. :-p
as long as palmer can stay healthy they should be pretty good
If Benson keeps running like he is, which I think he will, then ya the Bengals are "for real". That and Palmer as afore mentioned, needs to stay healthy. It also helps that Ochocinco is having a very productive season, which is a product of Palmer I guess..

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride, too..........lol
Just joshing ya.......I haven't seen the Bengals play, so I don't know how good/bad they are. Good luck all the same tho.

Where is Narrators Ken Doll? Taking a Narrator!
If they can keep Palmer upright, then they may be for real. But with back to back games against the Ravens and Steelers we shall see just how good they really are.

I'm pulling for them, 2 more wins and they would have a lock on 1st in the North if their is a tie, putting either Pitt or Balt fighting for Wild Card.

I don't think they're for real and I'll tell you why.
The teams they've beaten have collapsed. Pittsburgh, the first half of this season, have only played 3 quarters - I don't know why but we have. The Bengals gave up 20 unanswered points to the BROWNS?! Really? They had a 14 point lead, too. Needed OT to beat them. Who needs OT to beat the BROWNS?! The Packers did everything they could to lose that game and still almost won it. The Ravens? Ray Lewis' cheap shot cost them that game. If he doesn't take that shot, that drive ends and the Ravens win.
The Bengals need the other team to make mistakes in order to win. The Texans didn't make mistakes and the Bengals got straight up owned at home. They gave up 4 TD's to Schaub? Really?
The Ravens win the game, and the Steelers win in Denver. That drops Cincy to second place. The Bengals wont own any tie breakers, except to the Browns.
Late in the year the Bengals will show their true colors late in the year. They have a few easy ones, but if you look at it, they have a tough 3 game finish and Baltimore and Pittsburgh coming up in the next two.
You just can't count on teams giving games to you.
If you look at the Bengals rankings as far as offense and defense, and I have, they're ranked in the bottom half of the NFL. You can get away with that on offense, but not defense. Come post season that's going to haunt you.

What are comparing the Bengals to the Cowboys?
It sounds like it to me, and if that is correct they either won't make the playoffs or they won't win a playoff game. I personally think that the Bengals are currently pretenders right now.
