Every business and every household has a budget, especially a Break-Even Point. For example if a break even budget for a MLB franchise is $90 million, then why would the Millionaire owner of that team spend $30 million more a year on say an A-Rod, knowing that you will NOT recoup that loss. Any person with any common sense would not do that! I???m guessing the Yankee$ Break-Even point is likely around $225-$275 Million a year (because their 2010 payroll is around $210 Million). If every MLB team had their own YES type of network to get TV revenue from, there would easily be more of a competitive balance, as an alternative to Revenue sharing. Being a fan of a team outside of the Yankee$, it bothers me that every time I pay my DirecTV bill, a portion goes towards the YES network, which inevitably pays the Yankee$. With that type of revenue coming in, the Yank$ CAN afford to keep ALL top home grown talent (Jeter, Rivera, Cano, etc.) unlike most MLB teams, AND add a few ???extra players??? (A-Roid, Sabathia, Texiera, etc.). Imagine if Derek Jeter came up the Pittsburg Pirates organization?? They could not afford to keep him! MLB is a joke, easily predictable, and that???s why Football has passed it as the most profitable league in the nation.

I don't mean to bash the Yanks or their fans, but with such an overwhelming financial advantage, not only should every Yankee fan be upset if they don't win the World Series every year, but they should also be upset if their team doesn't win 130 regular season games every year.....how do they ever lose a game?
