I agree with you.
But you have to give it to them that they are not only promoting the main fight. they are prommoting Fedor, who is the top of the top of the HW Division.
I think their problem is that as they don't have much material to promote him, they are doing the best they can... and while doing it, they lost sight to promote the other fighters aswell.

If you watched TUF yesterday, you saw the adds UFC does for even chumps like Tito & FG and rumble & Kos.
I think SF should have done the same, but I can see why they pay extra attention to fedor.

Also, on a flip side, it is good if they can hook people who only heard about Fedor, then show the rest as they are ok fighters and have people in awe of them. Like,. people come to see one fight, and discover that the rest of the card are great...

Next time, it won't matter who SF will put on main card, the casual fan will expect fighters on that level...kind of raising their expectations... :)

your last sentence is what i have been saying. they should be promoting the SHYTE outta Mousasi. but even the promoting has been bad, where an you find a fedor commercial? tell me? havent seena asingle ne and if i didnt follow mma i would have no clue the fuight was tomorrow! and the exhibition match with Fedr and Mousasi? i found that on you tube. great fight..where the hell was it aired?

They've been promoting the hell out of the fights on CBS, particularly during football.

Elite XC only promoted Kimbo Slice. With his skillset he was bound to lose sooner or later. They had a great opponent for Kimbo with Shamrock(no striking or takedown). Kimbo would have easiliy KO'd him.

OMG, are you serious? When have you seen Ken Shamrick take anyone down in the last 5 years? He has one of the worst shots in MMA and he is very slow.

There's a reason he's 3-7 in his last 10 fights with 6 of those 10 fights coming my KO or TKO. Granted 3 of those losses are against Tito, but Ken has never had a great takedown. At his age it's gotten even worse. I think Kimbo would have KHTFO in under 30 seconds.

My bro in law watches now, and is even hosting the events at his house. Will be at his house this Saturday. I would kick his ass if he didnt like MMA. As far as the thread goes, I agree, you never hear about the other fighters. You ever see a UFC commercial, they hype like 3 fights every time. SF has only done this fight. And the fight of the night in my mind is the Shields-Miller fight, but you never hear of it.

Shamrock was a bum 5 years ago. Kimbo would have KO'd him.

While I think they would do an immediate rematch I think that overall it will hurt them to only be promoting this fight and these 2 fighters. If I wasn't an MMA fan I would have no idea who else is fighting on this card.Thoughts?

I agree that a non MMA fan will have no clue about the other fighters becuase they haven't even been mentioned. Now for us hardcores, we love this free SF card.

I think the problem though is, most of the main card fights to me, look decisively one sided. I see Sheilds, Mousasi, and Silva winning no problem. The only one I have any reserve about is the Silva and Werdum fight but I think Silva is too big and hits too hard, it'll end like Werdum versus Cigano did.

It wasn't aired...I mena the Mousasi v Fedor one.
