First off, I'm a Junior fan by default, when Dale Earnhardt was killed at Daytona I felt compelled to find a new driver to follow so it only made sense to follow Jr. Well, in listening to the live feed from his crew chief this Sunday at Texas I can only conclude that his poor season can not be left to driving ability alone. I follow several teams now and listening to all the crew chiefs instruct their drivers not to leave the pits, when coming in for a splash of gas because they ran out, until they see fuel pressure on the dash, the only team ot to mention this was Dale Jr. And, as we know, he had no fuel pressure when he left the pits and lost time and postions at the end of pit road because he could not start the car. Fitting end to a terrible "odd" year. He will, without a doubt, have a better season next year, 2010 Those who follow Jr. will understand where I'm coming from here.
