The date marks the end of a 5,126-year cycle on the Long Count calendar developed by the Maya, the ancient civilization known for its advanced understanding of astronomy and for the great cities it left behind in Mexico and Central America.

This is also the day the world will end. I know.. it is kinda sad. To account for this rather tragic phenonmenon, I think the BCS should implement some changes in the 2012 season.

Giving the NCAA a "Honey Do" list now will avoid entering the apocolypse with all kinds of loose ends.
