I still despise PITT. And as much as I hate being relegated to the role of spoiler nothing else remaining this season would give me greater joy than to pants PITT on 11/27. Statistically we should house very little optimism. If you look at our W/L and our opponents W/L and further and deeper into defensive statistics we should not be great competition. However and I apologize in advance for bringing this up, in rivalry games all predictions, statistical analysis etc are irrelevant. I cite 13-9. Truly even if you look at OSU - UMICH you can see this trend continue. There is no reason that OSU should be favored by less than 3 scores yet the spread remains 12-13. So for something to cheer about and a continued pride in the mountaineers lets show PITT the outhouse and do our best to keep them from underperforming, again, in another BCS game.
