NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > Are the Cowboys Becoming Perrenial Winners ?
November 27, 2009, 02:27 PM
The Dallas Cowboys are quietly one win from their fifth straight winning season. If Romo and Co. can get some playoff wins, they'll start looking like the late 60s Cowboys. Dallas has the best regular season record in the last 3+years in the NFC. Lets not forget that the Cowboys already own the NFL Record of consecutive winning seasons with 20 (1966-85).
The emergence of 25 year old Miles Austin as a blooming star has to excite Cowboy fans. The play of young tackle Doug Free is encourageing for our future. We have a still young QB and those two young running backs in Jones and Choice. Have the Cowboys built a future of more winning and championships? January is coming and we can expect success for one solid reason. We now have a playoff caliber defense. The defense has given up only 14 touchdowns in the last 9 games. Their average points given up is a mere 14.1 points per game. The most points given up in that 9 game span is 21 to Ryan and company vs. Atlanta. The defense is playing better then ever with the emergence of second year corner Mike Jenkins and the ageless linebacker Keith Brookings. Is Brookings what Haley brought to the Cowboys in 92? December will be different this year and Romo will shut up the critics with a playoff win this year. Book it.
