NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > Is Bob Stoops being paid under the table by Boise State?
November 28, 2009, 09:44 PM
After a mysteriously inconsistent 2009 season, the OU Sooners dismantled their in-state Rival, OkSU 27-0. This likely knocks OkSU out of any BCS game, thereby creating a possible opening for BSU. Given that OU managed to put BSU on the map by being upset by them in the Fiesta Bowl that ended the 2006 season, it's beginning to look as if OU's storied program has become a vehicle for promoting Boise State to BCS prominence.

Has Bob Stoops secretly been on the take from Bronco boosters, orchestrating a mediocre season simply to promote BSU's hopes for a BCS game this year? How else can you explain the inconsistent performance of the OU team in 2009? And this now raises new questions: did he clandestinely call inept defense at the end of the Fiesta Bowl in January of 2007, allowing that last score and two-point conversion that gave BSU the big upset win?
