Delphi Forum: "Entirety of Baseball History Replayed"

Goal: 16 game regular season + post-season tourney for all seasons 1876-current

Progress since project initiation on July 11, 2006: 19 seasons and 3,640 games played (each taking about 45 minutes using the APBA game)

Current Replay: 1912, 125 of 135 games completed

Documentation: Over 150,000 words of documentation at blog

Example (headlines from recent 1912 games):

(First 12 recaps are the very latest highlight games...)
1 KNABE EXCUSED?
2 CHICAGO COLD DUE TO LAKE EFFECT
3 A'S RUN ON FRANK PLANK -- AND WIN
4 NEW FINDING: SEA LION CAN IMITATE MATES
5 HIPPO COMES UP BIG
6 RED AMES ANGER AT FIELDERS
7 STEELE BENDS, BREAKS B9TH
8 CHANCE MOVE FAILS
9 SMOKY WOOD SWIRLS DUE TO EDDIES
10 MOTOWN MELTDOWN
11 FILL-IN BLANKS SOX
12 BOSTON BRAVES BEAT BAD BILL'S BROOKLYN BOYS

END OF DAY 14: KNABE EXCUSED?
* Bottom of Phils order...
* Dolin' out some offense (C.Dolan 2-5/T/R/RBI/BB)
* Duelin' the Cardinal hurlers (M.Doolan 1-4/D/2R/RBI/2BB, including a bases loaded free pass)
* Doin' what they need to do to bring in runs (R.Dooin 3-5/D/R/3RBI)
Otto Knabe was one of several Phillies (8-6) who poured it on in a 15-9 win over the lowly Cardinals (4-10), as the Quakers jumped to a 9-1 lead by the T5th. After singling T1st, Otto Knabe tripled to open the T3rd and scampered home when good-hit/no-field RF Steve Evans dropped next batter Paskert's fly. Otto also capped the Phils' 7-run T5th with a surprising three run homer, putting the Phils by up an over-bearing 9-1. But the Phillies no-holds-barred offense turned out to be wise, as the Cardinals began to hit starter Tom Seaton (BY) hard, and ended up with 9 runs themselves by game's end -- which the Phillies made academic by pasting up six on the board T9th. Even the bottom three in the Phils' order -- Cozy Dolan, Mickey Doolan, and Red Dooin -- were dolin', duelin', and doin', combining for 2 singles, 2 doubles, and a triple, scoring 4 runs and driving in 5.

But he seems to feel that it's important that the information shown below be passed on to the readers of this thread. This is a very, very dedicated, intelligent, I would almost say driven animal given his or her current condition...Let me check it's gender -- my goodness -- it's both!! This would seem to imply that it could create it's own offspring -- a scary concept given how repulsive the poor suffering animal is....1944 ST.LOUIS BROWNS (3-1/1st) (ACTUAL 1944: 89-65/1st)GAME BY GAME1 DT 4 SB 5 Trailing Dizzy Trout and Tigers B8th 4-1, things don't look good... But Gene "Rowdy" Moore lines a 2-run triple over 1st, then speedy 2B Don Gutteridge beats out an IF hit to tie the game. Mark Christman, Vern Stephens, and George McQuinn singles B9th upset Trout. Rowdy Moore, Gutteridge, McQuinn all get Dizzy late in game -- but that's a good thing... you can put away the Dramamine.2 PA 1 SB 7 LF Mike Kreevich (3-4/2R/HBP) leadoff triple kicks off 5-run B5th explosion which also includes 2-run singles by 3B Christman and C Red Hayworth. Nels Potter records 4-hitter plus is 1-3/R/BB at plate. Potter pleased by pitter-patter of many feet across plate B5th.3 WN 2 SB 0 Bob Muncrief pitches well in loss to Early Wynn, Jake Powell (big triple) and the Nationals. "Good grief!" cries Muncrief when Nats score two with 2 out B6th.4 SB 4 NY 0 Sig Jakucki allows 6 hits and 5 walks but strands nine, plus is aided by two 6-4-3 (Stephens-Gutteridge-McQuinn) DP's, in shutout of Mighty Ones. Kreevich provides Sig all he needs with leadoff HR T1st, and adds RBI single T4th. Olde Philosopher Say: Steaming hot Jakucki cool off Yankee.

Strange thing about animal language is the longer the spoken message, the shorter the actual message. Fiddles is saying, according to Dr. Doggebreathhio, 'Have a Good Day'

I can vouch for this.

DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND, THE WALT BROWN STORYLINE IS BEING TERMINATED AND FROM NOW ON THE POSTS WILL SOLELY BE GAME SUMMARIES WITHOUT ANY OVER-ARCHING STORYLINE. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.

This is a bad idea. Never go with the popular demand!

What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. Nowhere in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that can be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this site is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

You are brain-dead if you actually believe that anybody reads this crap.
