That was a relief, wasn't it? Out of all the nightmare scenarios the U.S. could have drawn for the 2010 World Cup, the Americans got dealt a plum Group C with England, Algeria and Slovenia.

The U.S.' opener is June 12 vs. England -- no small task. But it's a good way to start and a good test right off the bat. Algeria and Slovenia won't be pushovers, but they're much better draws than, say, Ivory Coast and Portugal. Both of whom, by the way, landed in the clear Group of Death next summer: Group G, along with Brazil and North Korea.

What do you think of how Friday's draw went? Psyched to see Landon Donovan vs. David Beckham? Wondering how on earth Mexico will react to facing host South Africa -- and 90,000 vuvuzela-blowing manic fans -- in the tournament's opener? See a dark horse emerging from the draw?
