1933 REPLAY Day 2

1933 Replay Day 2 A.L.: DID YOU EVAR...!?

The actual 55-96 St. Louis Browns (1-1), who managed to edge the powerful Yankees 1-0 on Day 1, suffered a more typical 9-0 loss to Sam Jones (effortless 3-hitter) and the Chicago White Sox (1-1) in Day 2. Evar "Turkey Dinner" (my nickname) Swanson (2-4/BB/2R) led off the B1st with a homer to set the tone for the meal... I mean game.

1933 Replay Day 2: RED SOX STONED!

It's hard to win when you're Stoned, and Detroit (2-0) leadoff man John "Rocky" Stone proved that to the Red Sox. Rocky went 3 for 4 with a double, a homer, a walk, 4 runs and 3 RBI as the Tigers devoured the Red Sox 11-2, having to spit out many slimy red fabric balls afterwards. Detroit's Tommy "Partial" (my nickname) Bridges (1-1) fired a two-hitter for the win.
