let's see what happens, is coaching really the problem?
It doesn't matter who we have at the helm if we can't find a better QB. At the very least someone who doesn't throw picks in the end zone at least once a game.
Agreed Magsy, Singeltary can rant and rave all he wants but its still the players that need to make plays. He may have won over the front office, but theres a chance the lockerroom may not respond well to his "I want winners" speech.

it's nice returning to this MB now. Huge win for the 49ers on Sunday.

Singletary should be hired for the next 4 years IMO. He is a winner and the 49er's are now winning!
with all the false hope of Nolan, the Erickson era, the Alex smith experiment, the 11million dollar touchdown, Kentwan Balmer, Vernon Davis, and Joe Staley instead of perhaps getting Jerod mayo. I am skeptical of how far Singletary can take us until we finally have a successful off-season and a draft that doesn't leave me crying in a corner asking myself why god why?
It's painful to be a 49er fan and watch the hapless current ownership and front office after living through the Eddie D/Bill Walsh-era, but I like what Singletary is doing and think he might be the best coach since Mariucci, so, yeah, give the guy a contract and see what he can do and, as a personal to the coach: Grow your mustache back, it makes those intense eyes look penetrating instead of unhinged the way they do now.

It sure the Hell is/was! The Niners finally have a real Leader of men in Singletary. The fact of the matter is this: The talent level on most teams is more similar than dissimilar.
The difference between winning teams and losing teams is usually:
1. COACHING
2. Ownership/Front Office.
3. Continually improving the roster through drafting, free agents and getting rid of dead weight.
Anybody that can't see the difference between the way the "same players" have played under Singletary as opposed to Nolan needs glasses.
I think we owe it to Singleterry to give him a shot. He at least deserves that. But yes, we desperately need a QB!!!!
SEEMS THAT THE D IS PLAYING BETTER BUT WE NEED TO GET A OFFENSE CORDINATOR THAT AINT AFRAID TO RUN THE BALL IN THE ENDZONE. GORE IS GOOD BUT NOT GREAT LETS GO GET A BACK THAT LIKES TO SCORE.
Gore is good but not great, I think a Raider Fan err Moron is in our midst 2 years ago he was 2nd in the NFL in rushing ya he sucks LOL
"WE NEED TO GET A OFFENSE CORDINATOR THAT AINT AFRAID". There is a hint of what upland people talk like upland makes Bakersfield look like Paradise LOL
"WE NEED TO GET A OFFENSE CORDINATOR THAT AINT AFRAID". (We need to get an offensive coordinator that isn't afraid), that's how people with more than 3 teeth in their mouth speak my halfbreed, do you even know what spell check is, no wonder your face is covered in your profile "Tru to da game", I love idiots, by the way all caps is also the sure sign of a third grade education.
Pro's : Accountability , winning attitude, knows what it takes to be in a winning team, smash mouth football.
Cons: Little head coaching experience, possibly bad drafts as a result, stubborn and hot headed, may lose great players that don't respond to his no-nonsense way.
Notice how much better the defense played for Singeltary.
At least us 49er fans know our coach can kick their coach's ****.

I agree with everything you stated. This team throws away draft picks like our government throws away tax dollars. Here is a list dating back to 2000. I think you would be hard pressed to find a team with a worse draft history.
2008 Kentwan Balmer -DT- #29
2007 Patrick Willis -LB- #11 *I will never argue this pick
2007 Joe Staley -OT- #28
2006 Manny Lawson -LB- #22
2005 Alex Smith -QB- #1
2004 Rashaun Woods -WR- #31 *BUST
2003 Kwame Harris -OT- #26 *BUST
2002 Mike Rumph -DB- #27 *BUST ---Players below are no longer on the roster---
2001 Andre Carter -DE- #7 *Serviceable
2000 Julian Petersen -LB- #16 *Soild
2000 Ahmed Plummer -DB- #24
