What's going on with LT this year? Does it have anything to do with the supporting cast or is he on the decline? Can he bounce back?
October 27, 2008  11:57 PM ET

He looked a little closer to his Vizio-endorsed self this week. There was at least one beauty of a run, but only time is really gonna tell. Or maybe it's really this toe everyone keeps talking about, but seriously how long does that take to heal?

Big toes takes a long time to heel, I injury my right big toes before and I was out of playing sports for about 4-6 weeks.

LT is the class act of san diego. The diaper-clad smackmouthed qb of theirs could learn alot from LT by keeping his PIE HOLE SHUT and watching and emulating LT.
Hope ypu come back TWICE AS STRONG LT.
10XCSN FOREVER

The real question is when will LT no longer be the consensus number 1 fantasy pick...

1) The supporting cast is there (well, except for coaches). 2) Yes, toes take time to heal. 3) It is the COACH; I can't believe how often they call dive plays. They need to at least try to get LT into space. When he gets into space, he does fine. He's not John Riggins, stop using him as such.

As for the QB, Rivers, he is one of the best in the game and presently holding the team together single-handedly. I'm really getting tired of people riding him because he plays a pretty boy position with a LB mentality. And his team is on record as saying they love it too! Aside from that, he has stated he never says anything he couldn't go home and say to my wife and kids.

i'm more afraid that LT is going to ask for a trade. what really sucks about the bolts decline is it makes eli's decision look better and better all the time, he does have a SB ring. i think LT is getting better and better physically but mentally he with and the rest of the team are done i believe. look at the donkies and how well they have done with their injuries, the reason is the coach. i just hope he stays and next year kicks butt again.

Hey L.T.!!! Just pull that toe out of your rear and run like heck!!

December 3, 2008  03:17 PM ET

toe injuries take a lot of time to heal.. it aint no joke. once that happens you need to heal it fully to get back to cutting back and bouncing around like he does. that kinda injury really makes a difference. i had a broken nail on my big toe playing football and that hurts like hell. imagine a broken toe must feel like. give him time to fully heal and he'll be back on top. he still got a lot in him. he's been the best but with an injury like that this year will surely set him back.. all you haters will see what i'm talking about.

but we do need to get rid of norv turner and you know what i think a.j. smith should go with him.. we need to find marty and get back to playing marty ball!

Yeah well LT's done his share of piehole-opening too.

I wouldn't expect another record-setting season in the future, but I have a feeling next year he'll be back at fairly close to full force. This year, sadly, looks like a wash for the Chargers. They'd have to win out, and Denver would have to practically lose out. I see no way the Bolts beat the Bucs or that the Broncos don't paste KC.

LT's carried a big load for awhile and running back's the position where they start to fade most quickly. He's not done, but he's on the downslope ... also, his O-line is not playing well. His days of being the #1 overall fantasy pick are behind him.

Rivers has had an incredible year (he's the only reason they have been in games) and leaves it all on the field, as evidenced by playing through the injury in the playoffs last year. He definitely made a few stupid statements/gestures in the past, but seems to be maturing.

December 5, 2008  03:35 PM ET

Read Jim Trotters column "LT Phone Home" This is the works of A.J. Smith and Norv Turner.
Rumors have Cleveland Browns trying to lure Bill Cowher and if that dont work, bring back Marty Schottenheimer to right the ship.
I feel bad for the kid (LT) but I love it when he makes stupid statement, "I have a dream to go to the Super Bowl", Thats all it is, a damn dream when you have knuckle heads like Smith and Turner running the show.

Rivers aint no Broyde Crowle ..is HE NOW .
Rivers is just a diaper-playing mouth off who can't back it up....
Give up the coddling of this laugher.
In 3 years mr rivers will be as dry as the Mohave and retired and doing Viagra ads with Wilford Bremley

December 6, 2008  09:53 AM ET

write this down.... LT gets a pass this year, if he doesnt produce next year i see the chargers trading him.... i know its a crazy statement for me to make but its clear their kicking themselves for letting micheal turner go and they will not make the same mistake w/ darren sproles. sproles has shown he can handle a 15-20 carry per game load and they are grooming Hester along nicely. LT will bring u some trade value and i see them cutting ties with him before he wont have any trade value at all. after this year he'll be in the league for 9 yrs so i say why wait!

December 12, 2008  06:46 PM ET

Charger fans should hope LT is injured - if not he is finished. He has lost a step does not finish his runs and consistently goes down on the first contact. When they put Sproles in he looks like the LT of old with his speed and aggressive running.

Rivers is now the man in SD and he has carried the offense, with no running game, since the playoffs last year when LT was a no show.

I hope he comes back full strength next year.

Hello? He's been running on a turf toe most of the year. You try it.

December 16, 2008  09:53 PM ET

LT is a dissappoinment??????? You have your nerve to show up on our page with a Bengals Jersey on.... You might want to look up the meaning of the word dissappoinment in the dictionary, then go take a look at your teams stats for this year, at least our best player only has toe issues and not an identity crisis, "Ocho Cinco" ****......... Miss me with all that BS and worry about your team maybe they should look into getting them a new playbook "Football for Dummies"

Looking around online and saw they have some sweet footage on LT from high school and TCU on the Vizio Facebook page: www.facebook.com/vizio. He seems to be picking it up, but I wish he was doing the things I saw here...
