Who's to say he would be back even if he did use the team Dr.? Every BODY is different and every operation is different....I surely expect to see Tom back keeping my fingers crossed actually but who knows.....wish him luck.

He's off on his own with his own doctors in defiance of the team's counsel. If he isn't back healthy in time for next year's opener, how upset should Pats fans be with how this went down?
You're horrible. Brady is where he is because of his work ethic. If you knew anything at all about him you would understand what that means.
Let's see...he only had the work done at the preeminent sports medicine clinic in the country...dunno about his choice there...
</sarcasm off>
For whatever reason Tom decided to decide for himself, I wish him the best, full recovery and hope that we will see him again with New England next year.

Well lets just throw out a lame made up comment to get on line readers pissed off so we will respond and see all your advertisers........ok, you got me, but it was a lame attempt anyway.

If tom misses next year I don't know if I can take another year of cassel he's too boring!
Gracchus? Do you know what the heck you're talking about? your post had NOTHING to do with the post you were responding to. I agree with your statement, but you sounded like an idiot putting it as a reply to this thread. haha.
Tom Brady went to a top-notch doctor and rehabilitation center. If he is not back next year it is because of the vicious, deliberate hit that might cost him two years rehab.
I'm an athlete and I've had physical therapy myself with a torn acl and mcl. Let me tell you from experience, Brady will not be back 100% for the 2009 season. It takes at least 18-24 months of serious physical therapy, strength training and conditioning, healthy lifestyle, specifically eating the right food and plenty of protein to rebuild muscle. Brady will not be at full strength to take the hits he has taken in the past.

He's not a mobile quarterback, so wearing additional protective device to offset this concern (see knee brace) is not out of the question.
