Rodgers has fulfilled expectations to this point of the season. Leaving emotions out of your decision, do you feel like Rodgers is doing a better job then "Jet" Favre would have done?
November 13, 2008  05:24 PM ET

no no no no way

November 14, 2008  03:28 AM ET

nope...emotions have nothing to do with it either.

November 17, 2008  07:22 PM ET

Rodgers play's a less emotion more control type of game that we (as packer fans) are not used to. His QB rating is better, INT's less than BF not to mention the long term upside. We are going to be fine. A young team and a solid level headed QB. I like our long term chances.

November 17, 2008  07:26 PM ET

Yes Brett the Jet and the Jets are 7-3! A team that was 4-12 last year and looking at a bye in the playoffs.Rodgers is what 5-5 i expected atleast 6-4 or 7-3 ,but it looks like Favre were the packers last year.

November 17, 2008  09:30 PM ET

Nope...theres a reason the Jets are 7-3, and theres a reason the Pack is 5-5.....its called the quarterbacks...

There's no way to match 16 years experience, but Rodgers is doing great by the statistics: completions-BF 69.8%, AR 64.5%. Passing yds: BF 2237 AR 2351. Passer rating: BF 93 AR 94.5. Pass TD's: BF 18 AR 15. Rushing TD's: BF 0 AR 3. Interceptions: BF 12 AR 6.

A-Rodg is our quarterback so I'll stick with him. Brett was great to watch for all those years and best of luck to him.

Long term , ok thats good. But the way you GB fans trash Favre was bad.To bad you all have to watch Farve have a chance to win another Super Bowl while your new team adjusts to this new QB who may have what it takes. Wasn't manning new to NY last year?Oh maybe not all new blood is new or that good.It will take GB 2 more years and a new coach to be in the spot again.

rick66,

First off I don't think most Packer fans are "trashing" Favre. We are grateful to have had one of the best QB's ever to have played the game. But being held hostage to his "will he or won't" he over the last 4 or 5 years had gotten rather stale. His numbers last year speak for themselves, but lets remember he retired. Soon after his retirement he had a change of heart, the head coach and other team officials went down to Mississippi to talk with him regarding a return. After consideration he decided to stay retired. So the coaching staff and management spent the entire off season building a game plan around AR. At the 11th hour BF again decided to return and was told he would have to compete for the starting position. He hardly participated at all and went home, we know the rest of the story. I for one wish him all the best but am satisfied with the decisions the team has made regarding its future.
As for changing coaches, MM is one of the best young coaches in the league with one of the best young teams, and a ton under the salary cap (see Ted Thomson).
And as regard to last year being Eli Manning's first year in NY, he was drafted in 2004.

Is that even a Question... Favre is the best QB to ever play in GB. He picked right up from last year with beating the Titans in LP. You have to look at the Win Loss columns not the stats. GB has a way more explosive offense then the Jets. Rodgers just can't pull it all together.

November 26, 2008  09:17 PM ET

Not better than Favre, but he is doing good.

Rogers 13 or so games are already being compared to Favre's years of experience, and what a surprise, Favre has a more favorable appearance. If you actually look at the stats (nfl.com) you can easily see that Rodgers matches up well with where Favre was at the same point in his career, and even does better in certain stats (INTs for one).

If it's about Favre's incredible longevity and toughness compared to a young Rodgers then all I'd ask is that you list all the other QB's in the NFL that have what Brett does. Aaron has done every thing that's been asked of him except be Brett Favre and for some people that isn't enough.

Rodgers is doing awesome.

Rodgers will be a capable QB if that is what you want. But he will not last. He is injury prone. How about that guy they got rid of who went to the Jets. Could he play despite injuries? Can't remember. Guess he did not sacrifice much or they would not have dumped him because he had the nerve to change his mind about retiring.

December 5, 2008  03:06 PM ET

Rodgers is doing a good job as our quarterback. To compare how Favre and the Jets are doing to how Rodgers and GB is doing is completely unfair. They're in two completely different scenarios..with Green Bay we've been hit incredibly hard by injuries this year. I'm not sure of the Jets injury circumstances, but I don't think it's as bad as we've had it. If you look at all of our loses this year, is there a single one that you can completely hinge on the way Rodgers played? In my opinion, absolutely not. A lot of our loses are on our defense, or in the most recent case kick off coverage. You put up 31 points in the NFL most of the time you'll win.

December 5, 2008  03:38 PM ET

Yup I agree, Rogers doing fine, maybe not this year but he'll be fine, I'm pick the 49ers (okay laugh!) to knock off the NY Bretts this weekend, Happy Holidays!!!

Mr. Rogers has done everything you could ask of a QB. He does not play safety, defensive tackle, linebacker, nor is it his job to pressure the opposing QB. He doesn't attempt to advance the ball after accepting a hand off, or block in pass protection, he also hasn't been flagged for holding, false start or pass interference. And last I knew he doesn't play on any special team. AR has started and finished every game this season (except in a mop up role) even when injured. His stats are exceptional, and lets remember this is his first season as a starting QB. So when we talk about a QB we're in great shape, its only when we talk about a starting QB in Green Bay after BF there are questions.
