the next few weeks will really show how good or great the football giants are. Their 2nd half sched is as tough as anyone's. If they can get through it at 7-2 or 6-3, then I think they'll be poised to make another run for the trophy.
They look the best in week 8 ... but its still 8 more until the playoffs.
think they will be in superbowl with the colts. may think im crazy, but colts finish 11-5 wildcard and will be battle of the mannings this year.
The division is tough....its going to be a close one to the end.

the team that looked most dominant at this stage last year didn't win the Superbowl. The teams that looked 2nd, 3rd, 4th best etc didn't even make the Superbow.
There's a lot of season left...

good point Kiwi. Look at the Pats last year, it pays to hit your hot streak at the end of the season rather than in the middle.

Understand something clearly the best team in the NFL they will win another Super Bowl Trophy in Tampa it's clearly a done deal just stay tuned!!!!
The Giants could do it. The argument that the team that was dominant at this stage last year didn't win it all doesn't hold water with the Giants because nobody believes they will win it again anyway, even at 8 and 1.
What really helps get into the head of a team and eventually messes them up is if everybody starts to coronate you as eventual champions in week 8. Giants are still being given only a 50/50 chance of winning it all. Thats a good thing for the teams psychology because it keeps the egos in check.
After last year with Manning setting the record for the MOST fumbles in a single game, we all were wondering if Manning had finally matured, or just gotten lucky as so many have. Well, he's doing well so far, and he seems to have settled down. Perhapes the Manning Mojo is a one-man-at-a-time thing. They did get lucky last year with an odd fumbling of an easily interceptable ball by NE, then a FANTASTIC (never to be repeated), catch ofa poor throw in the clutch, then an odd stumble allowing an easy throw for the TD. Not to mention his Houdini like escape from a collapsoing pocket, are all unlikely to happen twice in a row. He'll have to do more than last year, and he is not that much better. There is a half season left, so we'll see. It would be nice to see a NE vs NY match again, just to see what happens. I don't count the Colts out, nor the Chargers, but who didn't count NE out in Week One? Is it destiny? Maybe it is look'n interesting in Foxburrow
Too much season left to tell what's going to happen!

Oh, please- keep saying we can't do it again. Just watch these guys smoke now! Even with injuries, they still set the bar for the rest of the league. And you gotta knock out the champ to be the champ. It was good for the Browns to beat us when they did- the G Men know they have to improve every week and play as a team now. Tennessee looked like bums against Favre and the Jets- they'll find a far more hostile reception from the best team in the NFC.

The Titans wont even make it to the SB. They will loose in the Divisional round of Playoffs.

Dream on young man (or women)--they will not even make their division finals!
QUOTE(#12):

Dream on bunkie, The titans don't even belong on the same field as The World Champs, and will not even make it out of the 1st round of the play-offs with their 'cup cake' schedule!!
The Giants for all tense and purpose have the NFC homefield locked up. The only team that will not be intimidated to go play in the meadowlands in January will be the Cowboys. They play every year twice a year, it will be another NFC east slugfest and the Cowboys could pull off the upset. I dont see Tampa doing that and def not the red birds or Vikes/Bears/Pack......the Boys if they can get in the playoffs hold the upset card.
If the G-men make it to Tampa...I really dont see an AFC team that could beat them...unless the Dline just has a bad day maybe brother Peyton and the Colts.....it will prove to be interesting.

when my GIANTS was walking thru the league none of these conversations was ever brought up. It was who was going to rep the AFC in the SUPERBOWL to play the GIANTS we still are the team to beat untill we are knocked out the play-offs i cant count the WORLD CHAMPS out.......
