lose rest of the game and bring in tim tebow next year
Tell the team that the season is over and get Colt McCoy, Harrison, or tebow in the draft.

tim tebow? There is no way he gets drafted in the first round.
Drive my car off a cliff. Oh I'm a fan. Guess i gotta go!!!
I ask the Ford's to sell the team to Mike Illitch, a proven winner. The Ford family is the only common thread in 40+ years of losing. They don't know how to succeed in the auto biz, let alone football.
Detroit has never made a smart DRAFT selection in the past xxxxxx years..I can remember the Lions when they could beat everybody. yeah they reallly were tough back then now if they win 5 games a year they are a success...I just expect them to lose now and if they get the number one pick they will draft a no body..their scouts must suck...they can't pick a winner oh why not trade the nmber one pick for 12 fourth round picks LOL........sell the francise and sell Ford Motor s also heck just sell Detroit.......no one cares anymore
I think I would start off drafting a 1rst round Quarterback next year and bring a veteran QB in such as a smart move of bringing in Daunte Culpepper for experience. Then my next move would change the entire defense. Because the Lions D is one of the worst all season. But not saying they can't improve it. But they need to bring a whole bunch of new players in. If I was the GM I would have signed Ty Law to make a passing threat in the backfield. Then the final thing is fire Rob Marinelli.

Fire Marinelli, lure Spagnuolo to replace him (we can dream, can't we?), draft to bolster both lines, and bring in some defensive backs from free agency (after the season).
Those of you saying they should draft a high-round QB are obviously not paying attention. That is the least of their concerns right now.
...take comfort in the knowledge that I couldn't possibly do WORSE than Matt Millen.
PS,
...trade both first round picks for no less than 3 - 5 extra picks in rounds 2 thru 4. We need a quarterback and there is no such thing as "guaranteed" first round talent at that position. Stockpiling picks to build the sound foundation that this will build from in the more immediate future is the way to go. End-Of-Story.
Agreed ... i dont think anyone could do worse than Millen.
Agree with Caddy ... hire a good coach. Spags looks petty good to me. But maybe look for a minority coach ... Samauri Mike would be great.
Cowher has his choice of jobs ... gauranteed he doesnt want to coach in Detroit.
