NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > We Need To Draft Offensive Linemen But Will Choice Go To SD For Crowmartie?
February 17, 2010, 04:00 PM
After a very successful year for our Cowboys and Tony Romo, its time to talk draft. After the disaster "human turnstile" performance by our offensive line at Minnesota, our priority in the draft should be to get offensive linemen. We need to start grooming a left tackle for starters. A guard and center are also needs. We have a pretty solid right tackle in Free but the rest? Ouch. There are a few top notch left tackles but will they be gone by our pick?

Another possibility could arise in the first round if backup rb Tashard Choice is indeed traded to San Diego for pro bowl corner Crowmartie who Wade helped draft a few years back. A little internet rumor a week ago has turned into reality that the Chargers want a young stud rb to lead them to the promised land. Tomlinson is out of the picture and Sproals is too small. One could say that the Chargers could move up to get Clemson product TJ Spillers but can he just step in? Tashard Choice has two years in the league and shows alot of ability. Choice only had 20 carries in the second half of the season which leads me to believe he got in Garrett's dog house? If what I expect to happen does, we are looking for a rb in the first or second round. Either way the draft will be exciting. There are several good backs in this draft with size and speed. Dallas has spoken to Auburn rb Ben Tate who could be there in the 2nd or 3rd. As we all know running backs and receivers are "sexy" picks. I'd rather get something for Choice then see him leave in free agency and get nothing. We can get offensive linemen in later rounds. Alot of fans like Choice but our back is Felix Jones and unfortunately Barber signed a huge deal. A new running back in Dallas would be exciting! Whats that small backs name who can run a catch the ball! Anyone know!? Exciting stuff!!!!
