At most they will be a wildcard team this year, probably another 2 years from being a serious NFC contender. FUTURE's lookin good with MATTY ICE!
Agreed, wild card is a lofty but realistic goal. Next year is definetely shaping up nicely tho.

Let's just win one at a time. If the playoffs are part of this year....FINE!!. If not, Matt Ryan,The Falcons and Atlanta have a lot to look forward to. Matt Ryan has made this city forget that LOW-LIFE AMOEBA that was here.
I see them loosing this weekend 31 to 24 to the Saints!! just my gusty prediction. We are New Orleans, haoo, haoo, haoo!!

I think they probably get an outside look at the wildcard this year. Either way, what they have in place is a solid foundation for a bright future. Not since Steve Bartkowski have the Falcons has a quarterback with such talent and leadership potential. If they can keep him protected, I see HUGE things for Atlanta over the next three to four years. However, like Intimidator said, let's just win one at a time.

I put them at 8-8 at the beginning of the season. I don't see them quite making the playoffs this year.

I see them in the playoffs. Matt Ryan is becoming a good QB and a good leader. I see them sneaking into the playoffs and turning some heads.

Minnisota is going to be tough to beat at their house...and St. Louis is a joke. Tampa's schedule is pretty easy though... It might be easier to imagine Dallas losing and sending three from the South to the playoffs.
Man what a year! Almost made me forget the heartache for my Bulldogs.
I agree with Timmy C, i like the remaining schedule. I think Minn will be tough, but without the run stopping ability of Pat Williams...our chances increase. Also, I think our defense will put up a better challenge than what Arizona did last week.
Who would have thought the St. Louis game would go down to the wire like that? Never underestimate a team with nothing to lose!
