I think only time will tell. Singeltary's rant following his first loss will either make or break the 49ers for the rest of this season.

If it breaks them, do they bother hiring him or just gut the entire staff and start from square 1?

As a dedicated Ram fan, I say no. They need to find the worst possible coach available. Might I suggest Scot Linehan?
