NFL  > Tampa Bay Buccaneers  > Dunns new book

Anyone heard about Warrick Dunn's new book about addressing the man who killed his mother when he was a senior in high school. It is a bio about how he and his 5 brothers and sisters moved on, and how the murder of his mother affected him deeply.

Looks very interesting, many props to Dunn for being a class act athlete on and off the field. He has been a great role model in the NFL, especially in a time where they seem to be few and far between.

I've read it. It was OK. THe part about his mom dying and the havoc that created in his families' life was the most interesting with his foundation work following. The Bucs insights were not as plentiful as I would have liked. While his college days are covered, it seemed to me that the co-author simply went threw Warrick's stat book and created a few chapters. Ala', in this game against the Gators, I ran for xxx yards with xxx receiving etc...

It is amazing, however, what Warrick had to deal with as the "man of the house" even as a Buc. He had to bring three of his siblings to Tampa to live with him just to keep them straight. He was certainly fortunate that his coach was Tony Dungy. Coach Dungy and his wife mentored Warrick in a way I can imagine Jon Gruden would have. Dungy was all about character and so is Warrick Dunn.
