NFL  > New England Patriots  > Goodell meets with WIlfork
October 29, 2008, 02:42 PM
Roger Goodell met with D Lineman Vince Wilfork about an elbow to Jay Cutler's head following a play. Wilfork was not flagged for what he did. In my opinion, with the recent string of fines, Goodell is over stepping his boundary in some of these cases. His role is getting comical, atleast to me.

It's like when your in middle school and you get called to the principal's office for misbehaving. What is he going to do, give Wilfork a detention? I bet Vince went home crying to his mom.

I agree with what Goodell has done with guys like Pacman and some of the other "class" acts of the NFL, but he needs to have a better understanding of that gray area that exists in the NFL between what should be made an issue and what shouldn't. Troy Polamalu was right on with his quote regarding guys like Ronnie Lott and Dick Butkus wouldn't survive in todays NFL.

Let the guys play football.
