NHL  > General NHL  > Why are the Leafs consistently so bad?
March 13, 2010, 09:31 PM
we've all heard the jokes about the leafs, but seriously, what is the deal?

my theory is the leafs are eternally cursed. why else are they so bad, year after year? when was the last time they made the playoffs? when was the last time they did anything? i remember they were in the conference finals once and lost to greztky and the la kings, that was like 1993. they never seem to make any good draft picks or develop any good young players and FELIX POTVIN was the last semi/mediocre goalie they had. the best player they had in the last 15 years was sundin and i always thought he was very overrated. i could sit here all night and bash the maple leaves. answers, anyone?
