NFL  > Cleveland Browns  > Jake Delhomme will be a success because....

All the trolls and haters out there have

A) Given him plenty of motivation while at the same time

B) Lowered the bar for success to somewhere around his ankles.

Jake doesn't have to take the Browns to the Superbowl. He doesn't have to take them to the playoffs. He does even need a winning record. Get the team to 7-9, play absolutely middle of the pack, somewhere between Kyle Orton and Bruce Gradowski, have just one more TD than INT, and he's comeback player of the year practically.

Holmgren has to be looking at all the talking heads trashing Jake and saying "Thank You Lord" Never has anyone had to do so little to justify $7 million as Delhomme going into the 2010 season.

I'd say he just has to outplay Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn but there's a strong possibility neither plays a down in the regular 2010 season.
