NFL  > Pittsburgh Steelers  > "Bad" Ben Verdict ... Fair
April 21, 2010, 01:10 PM
4-6 Games with with counselling is fair... it was good to hear 8 games was an option but I was happy to see the added Counselling as part of the 4 games. As it stands Ben will be out for 2 Division games to start the season.
It was very smart to get back Letwich, I was quite impressed by that move because he knows the offense from their Superbowl season, Very proactive by the Steelers knowing a suspention was coming. I think this kills the trade talks of Ben, Maybe they are taking calls about trades for Ben but maybe for the future but not for this season, Ben won't retire as a Steeler i don't think.... Other than Bradford there isn't another QB in this years draft worth taking that will fit in with the Steelers and I don't see anyone in the top 10 teams in the draft giving up their 1st round pick.

My views are quite strong against Ben, I think any "charector" he has as a person has been washed out of my mind, I have no respect for a man of his stature to use and treat women, young women the way he does. As it might just sound like "ben" bashing coming from me, I hold the same regard for Tiki Barber now also for his actions lately or anyone with that lack of respect towards women. The taking advantage and disrespecting women is a VERY personal issue to for and my better half. The young girls involed here don't get a free pass in my mind but when we are talking about19-20 year old star struck, it's easy to take advantage of them and really whatever police report you read that's clearly what the issue is here. What happened, happened...lets just move on.

I don't think this tarnishes the 2004 QB Draft class in my mind, I still believe it was the best QB class of the decade, as I do have respect for Ben's skills as a QB.

That's pretty much me closing the book on this media circus story!!!
