Should the NCAA institute a fitness standard for coaches? These are expected to be roll models and mentors to young men and women (I'm not just talking about football). What kind of message does it send to these young people who are still so impressionable? Coaches like Charlie Weis and Mark Mangino are the two that come to mind, should be required to lose weight. And, if Weis was in decent shape the injury he sustained could have been much less significant. What does FN think?
