Watching Wright lately is scary

He looks like a deer caught in the headlights or if he is on something or both.

After a great start, he looks lost & bewildered (as does most of the mets offense). He almost never swings at a first pitch so the pitchers throw meatballs over the plate that he watches sail by. The next strike he either is totally fooled by or more often than not takes another call strike. Before you can blink an eye, he is down 2 strikes.

I do not think he will ever approach what he did a scant few years ago. I do not know what is going on inside his head but it ain't good. What a shame the offense is in hiding as they have been getting surprisingly strong pitching.
If I hear Manuel make one more excuse for this team, I will start hurling.

I love all the mets hate and now look at them ahead of the phillies and less than a game back from first. David Wright is having an mvp caliber season leading the league in RBI's and doubles. So much for that deer in the headlights look that you guys pegged him as having
