ALL NBA!  > ALL NBA! Message Board  > Beyond the three guards (Jennings, Evans, and Curry) who is the 4th choice for ROY?
April 24, 2010, 02:12 AM
I've thought long and hard about this, the obvious greats of this years draft include the three best guards Brandon Jennings-MIL, Tyreke Evans-SAC, and Stephen Curry-GS. Beyond those three who is the "4th" best rookie this year. With the absence of Blake Griffin, and the expected horrendousness (is that a word?) of Thabeet, big men were hard to come by in this draft, but I found one I liked. My choice has to go to the big man out of San Antonio who was taken at the 37th pick a year ago, DeJuan Blair. The 6-7 forward out of Pittsburgh has been a stellar player for the Spurs. He initially fell so low in the draft because of previous complications with knees, and a concern with his current weight. His rebounding totals and aggressiveness on both sides of the ball has gotten him a lot of recognition this season and rightfully so. I don't think Blair will ever be an all-star, and his career will be somewhat short, a decade or so, but he'll be a great role player with the occasionally glimpses of all-star in his career. I know that some if not most will disagree with my choice here, but that's the point, give me your fourth runner up, or if you think that you've got someone better than the Big Three, feel free to share.
