NHL  > General NHL  > What do the Sharks do now?

If I am Doug Wilson right now, here is my plan for the offseason:

-Let Nabby walk, Stalock or Greiss can take over assuming you do what I will talk about later.

- Trade Thornton. The Sharks can't win with him, trade him away while he still has value. Target a defensman, a guy like Kaberle.

- Resign Marleau. You need a few veterans in that lineup. Assuming Marleau doesn't want to leave on his own terms, bring him back.

- Pursue depth at the forward position, not another superstar. Secondary scoring was the Sharks problem this time around, not the primary guys for once.

- Upgrade heavily on defense. Assuming Blake retires, the Sharks will have a gaping whole at the blue line, even bigger than before. Also, let Wallin go. With those two gone, the Sharks have about 5.5 million dollars in cap space right there to go after UFA's. Spend that money on defensman, star defensman.

What are your thoughts fannation?
