Draft Picks: 10 & 40

Offseason: Unlike most teams, this off season is not going to damage the Pacers, unless you think Ford's 10 and 4 are irreplaceable. Bottom line: The Pacers stink, and they will stink for a LONG time. You could easily swing Granger to several teams for building blocks, but are you getting a top 10 pick for anyone else on this team? I mean face it- Greg Monroe or Wesley Johnson for anyone else on this team, other than MAYBE Troy Murphy, is going to get you laughed at. I would say you need to blow this team up, but it looks like they already have, but just had Horrid luck afterwards. The Problem is a good chunk of the cap is taken by cruddy players, Ford is at 8.5M, Foster is at 6M, Dunleavy is at 10. For some reason I don't see Granger at 10M picking up their tab at a bar. Even Murphy at 11M is a little overpaid- but I'll take that.


Three Scenarios

1. The Pacers get either Greg Monroe or Ed Davis, and they turn out to be quality NBA players. Trade Tyler and Dunleavy to a contending team looking for points (think what happened to Wally Szczerbiak) and working better bench deals, the Pacers need to start stocking 2nd rounders in Europe.
