With the Colts needing to shore up the most big time and expensive players (Manning, Wayne, Mathis), you think they would take advantage of this gift they have been given called "A NO CAP YEAR". They could shore up all 3 long term, pay them alot of that money up front this year without sacrificing the future.

Example: Peyton Manning signs a 5 year $60 million contract. Pay him $30-35 Mil this year upfront. Now he is only costing $5.5-6 mil a year against the cap instead of $10-12.

Do something similar for Mathis and Wayne and the cap number will be VERY friendly for the next several years. Then they can afford other free agents....hopefully a stud on the O-line/DT
