NBA  > General NBA  > Congratulations to both the Celtics and the Lakers
June 18, 2010, 01:15 AM
I don't know how this will go over with JimJ77 but here goes. Both the Lakers and the Celtics should be congratulated. As a long-time Laker fan, I was pumped to see them take out some ghosts of Celtics past in a game seven. That said, both teams played their hearts out. The Celtics didn't have Kendrick Perkins and the Lakers didn't have a completely healthy Andrew Bynum. So what. We are not going to put an asterisk next to the Sixers of 1983 when the Lakers had multiple injuries nor 1989 with the Pistons. The better team won then, and the better team won this evening.
