The FIFA World Cup is a very special event that captures the imagination of each and every nation that makes its way to the world's game showcase. But every World Cup some players are forgotten for their efforts to take their team to the next round. These teams and players are usually forgotten until someone like myself or Zach write a preview about that team in their next edition of the tournament. Well today I am here to recognize the top players that have already been eliminated in this World Cup. So without further ado, here is my picks for the All-Eliminated Team for 2010:

STARTING XI

GK Vincent Enyeama (Nigeria) -- Not to toot my own horn or anything, but Enyeama was exactly the player I thought he would be. He used the best of both worlds (African agility and European technique) to amass a total of 21 saves for what will go down as a very poor Nigerian team. His play kept his team in all three matches and really kept them from being embarrassed, especially against Argentina.

RB Gianluca Zambrotta (Italy) -- Joining the Future Captain De Rossi, Zambrotta was the only other bright spot in the Italian ranks. His tireless running up and down and his solid defending showed what Italy used to be known for. Italy's other fullbacks need to take a lesson from him after their unimpressive World Cup. Zambrotta blocked numerous shots and helped drive a seemingly undriven team to nowhere.
