I'll take the over on that one. I say he plays the majority of the next two seasons (65+ games) but misses the majority of the final year of his deal and retires after that.

By that I meant 65+ games per season.

I'd guess he plays about 170 games during this contract. 140 or so in the first two seasons, but only about 30 in the final season.

Glad he got his name on the cup; once, but at 36-38 he had to get his last big contract. With that said, after day 1 of Free Agency, the Pens look to be a better team: ON PAPER!

In my opinion, going into Free Agency, I felt like Paul Martin was the best defensman available. So yes, the Pens definitely scored on that one. Zybnek Michalek is also a great Dman who I would probably rank as the 3rd or 4th best guy available.

Losing Gonchar will hurt their PP I think, but Martin and Michalek are both capable on the PP.
