Baseball is more boring than ever and football is 16 games long. The NBA is is definatly the most exciting sport and truthfully im still watching all the playoff reruns to get my fix. Basketball is truly the only sport where i can sit down and watch a whole game with 2 teams playing that i really could care less about.
This is a really good question and I probably didn't give it much thought until I read your blog. I believe it depends on the other franchises that reside in the city. Since I'm a Cowboys fan we're taught that they always come first, regardless of how another team in the city is performing. I do enjoy my Mavericks ( I don't think their season is too long), but I probably would be more interested in the sport had I not resided in a "football" state. To an extent I can live without it, but I respect the league and the players that participate.
I am, in my mind at least, a very big sports fan. In order I like MLB, the NHL and the NFL. I haven't seen an NBA game in person since 1978 and really don't enjoy it at all. To me it's a display of individual "skills" and not much about teams. I do like college basketball and see many games every year in person and twice as many on TV.
But, to each his own. I wouldn't tell anybody else what they should or should not watch or follow. It's just not for me.
I'm beginning to like professional sports less and less. Not only do athletes feel like they have GOD-like personas but they feel they have the right to an absurd amount of money as well. How can someone, already making more money in one season than most make in a lifetime, feel they deserve more?

Yeah.. the NBA is peaking my interest! In the past, I wouldn't say it was of any importance but am finding myself becoming more fascinated...

I'm not into basketball much, but the whole Lebron controversy kinda peaked my interest and I think I may watch it some this season.
it's nearly nonexistant for me until after the SB. and, i'm a mavs fan so if it were super important to me, i'd be depressed most of the time LOL. it gets more fun as the season nears the playoffs. above baseball by a mile, but below football by a mile too.

Is the fact that Jennie Finch retiring from softball next month bigger news for me than Lebron James signing with Miami tell you how much I enjoy the NBA?
