With the season about two months away what are some things you would like to see happen this season? (Your Team win the NCG excluded)

Here are mine

1. A non QB, RB win the Hiesman
2. A NCG decided by 7 points or less
3. Defenses hold scoring down more than it has in the last couple of years.

4. Your thread has one hit.

I would like to see the Pac continue to play every other conf school.
But barring a move to 14 game schedules, that doesn't look possible after this season.

Um, I think that should be under the "Things I DON'T want to see" thread.

7. Notre Dame falls short of expectations again. Mark May recently predicted 10 wins for them, which I am sure violates a diversity principle: how many totally shameless ND homers does ESPN really need in addition to Lou Holtz?
8. 13Doogie learns how to spell "Heisman."
9. USC and Notre Dame find a way for both teams to lose.
10. Undefeated Alabama plays undefeated Georgia for the SEC Championship, which reminds me:
11. UGA keeps a majority of its players out of jail. The Athletic Director took one for the team recently, which shows good outside-the-box thinking.
12. Lane Kiffin breaks RichRod's record for the number of times he complains about the state of disarray that he inherited from his predecessor.

You think Mark May is an ND homer?
This guy did nothing but rip ND last season....
Please, put down the crack pipe.

I'll settle for "Oops! We meant South Carolina."

Truth be told, I'm as big an anti-homer toward ND as I am a homer for the Tide. As to Mr. May, I understand that his role is to be Lou Holtz's foil much of the time - that's supposed to be entertainment - hence his ND bashing. Of all the predictions he could have made with Holtz out of the picture, however, I can't imagine on what he bases the "10 wins" prediction. I know ND has gotten good ratings for their recruiting in recent years, but defense has been a huge issue and they will have some major personnel changes at QB and WR.
Even a great coach might take more than one year to get the Irish into top form. Can the analysts at least wait one year to find out how Kelly does with his new job before predicting 10 wins? Lest we forget, success at one school does not necessarily guarantee success at another. Colorado and Michigan thought they had made great hires with Dan Hawkins, coming from Boise State, and Rich Rodriguez, but both have disappointed in their first few years.
All that said, it is not necessarily ND's fault that they get overrated at the beginning of every season. The announcers are like the college professor who declares on the first day of class, "everyone has an A today," and ND is the student: good until proven otherwise. When Mark May, who spends the season playing the part of "ND devil's advocate" is predicting 10 wins for the Irish, I rest my case.

+1 there. Would prefer it to be TCU but BSU would be fine as well. Failing a title game then a worthy opponent to beat would be good for the 2010 BCS buster.

Also:
-SDSU make a bowl, any bowl
-Failing a non-BCS team in the final, a 3 or 4 undefeated team pile up at season's end would be great. Even better if all involved are glamour programs (tOSU, UF, and OU for example would be great).
-A high profile game decided by that crazy new celebration rule. I really dislike the NCAA for saying "hey these are kids playing amature ball" all the time and then forcing them to act like corparate drones on the field.

I agree.

Talk about stoking the fires of chaos and controversy.
