NBA  > General NBA  > Jersey Swapping!
July 18, 2010, 12:44 PM
As you all know, I loves me some NBA- and what I???m going to try and do, now that LeBronomania is FINALLY over, keep you informed on the transaction wire, Here is part one of the past week, and I???ll have the other half of this week up tomorrow. I???ll try to be as accurate as I can with the contract figures.

Full disclosure, I???m a Bobcat fan, and a Hornet fan. Can I get a good owner? Big news of the week is Golden State being sold. The Warriors have a good owner, by all accounts, and now need a coach that cares, and damage control from some stupid trades the last few weeks. And now, the Week in Jersey Swapping!

Sunday, July 11

??? New Jersey agreed to terms with guard Jordan Farmar

Ok, 7 points and 1.5 assists, 2 rings and the Nets decide he???s worth 4 MILLION a YEAR? (3 years 12 Million) Dumbasses.
Monday, July 12

??? Miami signed forward Udonis Haslem to a five-year contract.

This is a STEAL for Miami, who got Haslem for 5 years at 20 Millon- who was offered 34 Million for 5 by the Nuggets and Mavs. Just an awesome job here by Riley, who keeps the undersized center at a bargain rate.

??? Minnesota acquired forward Michael Beasley from Miami for a 2011 and 2014 second-round draft picks and cash considerations.

Khan picks up the number 2 pick in the draft for pretty much nothing. Nice work. Holy Sheepdip! A Good move by the Khanner!!

The move by Miami to get Bosh, Wade and LBJ was awesome, let alone they did it for 15 million less over the life of their contracts..

Then they sign Mike Miller for around 8 million less than he was offered by other teams.

Toss in Haslem at a "hometown discount" of about 10 million less and Pat Riley is looking good.

Miami, hands down has made the most CONSIDERABLE improvements to their team.

Let lone the fact they are now sold out for the entire season in Miami and you can count on many other road games being sold out too.
