NFL  > General NFL  > SHAQ, T.O. and BONDS, all three GREAT, all three finished before their time.

These three players in three different sports all had gas in the tank, albeit not a lot when they reached the ???outs??? of their prospective sports.

All had extraordinarily large egos and unwilling to take pay cuts at the end. The question is did they want to continue or was it OK with them that they didn't?

Bonds could have hit another 25 to 50 home runs. His last season he lead the league in on base percentage. Of course, unofficially black listed.

T.O. had too much bad press. In his prime was there a better receiver? I frankly, can't say there was a better one in his prime. Did you catch that playoff upset where he carried Giants on his back to an upset playoff win? Arguably, right now in the top 20% skill wise of all receivers and yet no one seems to want him?

Shaq is arguably in the top twenty players of all-time. Is there a better back up center in the league right now? Can he still score? Can he be a force? Still head scratching on this one, why Miami is not interested.
