Auto Racing  > General Auto Racing  > Indy needs to go

The crowed was spotty at best and it wasn't much better the year before. The racing always comes down to single file and the winners are usually runaways. The only thing the Brickyard 400 has going for it is that it is a historic track (and not even in NASCAR, but another series). I think the date needs replaced with a road course or a unique track with exciting racing that's not already on the schedule.

Indy needs a refurb. I know it would never happen but the best thing that could happen is for one race all the NASCAR drivers should climb into Indy cars for the Brickyard and all the INDY drivers to climb into stock cars for the 500. That would get people to watch it again.

Ever since Emerson Fittipaldi drank OJ in 1993 the track has been cursed with bad PR luck.

It is sad to see a great historical track like Indy die but that is what is happening.

I agree, it is sad. It just doesn't deliver good racing, that's the problem. It has the history, but it doesn't have the deliverance.

The owners of the track have to reailize they can't just rely on the track's historic status, sometimes radical change is needed!
