Chances that we get Keyshawn Johnson. I guis the better question is do we WANT "Meshawn" JOhnson. PErsonally, I have had enough of WR's w/ bad personalities.

its true that big ego wrs get annoying, but we dont have any good wrs right now...i say take him

May 5, 2007  12:38 PM ET

We agree on the big ego part, but not on the part that we dont have any good WR's. Kevin Curtis has great speed and is a great route runner, but hasn't put up great stats b/c he has spent his career behind Bruce and Holt in STL. Reggie Brown is a player who I think will make the pro bowl this year, and I love Hank Baskett. Not alot of experience, but to me, no lack of talent.

I think Reggie Brown is going to be a good receiver for us. What we lack though is a big receiver with some muscle on him. We don't have a TO or Chad Johnson type physically.

The Eagles have bigger fish to fry than adding a WR to the roster. Sure we want someone with bulk and preferably speed, not to mention experience. But the Eagles have to focus on the RB; ours and theirs. This is how we only got to the 2nd round last year. Westbrook finally got enough touches last year. They need to keep doing that to keep the defenses honest. I am also anxious to see how the Eagles are at stopping the run with the front 7.

Also, look for Baskett, Avant and Bloom to start making appearances in various odd packages this year. Baskett and Avant could truly progress if given some playing time.

People say that Baskett is too slow to make it as a great WR in the NFL. My question is, how do you have two 80+ yd TDs in a season and be slow. I love his size, hands, and attitude. I see no problem with his speed. Great potential in this kid.

I loved the pickup of TO a few years back. Keyshawn is not the answer though. They need to wait to see what players get waived right before the end of camps and then pick up the best of that crop. Why would the Eagles want a player that wasn't even invited to mini-camps?

May 14, 2007  07:25 PM ET

I would love to have Keyshawn at the right price. I think he gets a bad rap from that one season that Gruden deactivated him. He's always been a gamer, and in his later years has become from all reports a good teammate and mentor. If they don't get him though, no big deal. The Eagles' system doesn't depend on star receivers, they spread the ball around. If we're going to spend big money on a free agent, I'd rather see it in the secondary.

I have a great idea. Let's get johnson and win a super bowl

May 16, 2007  06:08 PM ET

The Eagles can use a WR but they don't need a WR. That is the one thing about this team everything seems in place 2 me as long as injuries are avoided. Any move that the Eagles make just enhances the team. Honestly I think they are easily the best in the NFC and I think they can beat anyone in the AFC if the cards fall correctly

May 16, 2007  06:37 PM ET

I totally agree. W/o injuries or bad luck, we can play w/ anyone. We are definately capable of being the best in the NFC. AFC, well maybe. The Pats look great on paper too. Pats-Eagles in the Super Bowl if both teams play to potential.

no we do not need keyshaun, he has a big ego and wants the ball, and i dont want to remember what happened last time we had one of those. reggie brown made drastik improvement at the end of the year when he started actually catching the ball, hank baskett will get alot better, and kevin curtis will be really helpful, we should worry about or run defense not our wide receivers
