What if Mike Schmidt would have juiced? Or, Bo Jackson or Kirk Gibson stayed healthy?

Back in the day, "Greenies" were like huffing a pot of coffee.

Being wide eyed and bushy tailed in a 1 o'clock day game, after an extra inning night game, isn't near the same as pumping 'roids.

Thing is with baseball, is everyone was doing it, and it wasn't exactly against the rules...
And think about it. Kids take meds to do better in school, men take meds to do better in the bedroom, athletes take meds to do better on the field.
Honestly, there's some real double standards going on when it comes to this kind of stuff.

You would think that if something is illegal, there shoudn't have to be a rule made about it.

Common sense doesn't go as far as it used to...

Really? you compare viagra to roids? Since when does someone get paid millions to perform on viagra and at the same time compete against someone legit with thousands of young fans watching....no way the two are similar in ethics or performance.

The thing is it was illegal. Why would it have to be specifically banned?

As far as I am aware there is no rule in baseball against pulling out a gun and shooting the fielder before they can catch the ball... But seeing as how murder is illegal, it's generally understood you can't do it in baseball either...
