Joseph: Yes, though I???m not a big fan of an immediate rematch. Sonnen basically dominated the champ for 23 minutes of a fight that went 23:10. Had he played a more conservative game in the last round, he???d be wearing the belt right now. With that said, there have been too many ???immediate rematches??? lately, especially around the titles. It clogs up the division and makes things a bit WWE-ish. You either win a fight or you don???t. Give Vitor or Okami their crack at the title next.

Collin: I think so, but Vitor should get his shot first. If Chael can wait to fight Anderson after that (whether Anderson beats Vitor or loses) he deserves another shot at Anderson. And frankly, I think we the fans deserve it too.

Shane: In my opinion, absolutely; however, it should not be an immediate rematch. Vitor will obviously get the next shot. After Silva beats him and Sonnen rakes in one more win then a rematch will be in order. I was a lone soldier in calling Sonnen to take this first match. Kryptonite, that???s what submissions are to Sonnen. If Sonnen can avoid the submission he can easily win a rematch.

Joao: Not an immediate rematch. I firmly believe that instant rematches should only take place when a given fight had controversy written all over it; meaning situations such as bad refereeing decisions, questionable judges??? decisions and so forth.
It is obvious that Chael Sonnen can beat Anderson Silva. But he didn???t. Silva beat him fair and square. Sonnen was the better fighter for 23 minutes and couldn???t finish the job; Anderson took control of the fight for a mere 10 seconds and finished his opponent. Sonnen???s legendary lack of submission defense reared its ugly head once again.
Give the title shot to V??tor Belfort and someone else to Chael Sonnen, so he can work back into a title shot.

I think Wandy needs one more win first, and since he beat Bisping, Mike needs two more.

I agree about Vitor though, I think he should fight Wanderlei since Anderson will be out for so long.

I any combination of Vitor, Chael and Wandy should be put together as either an interim title or number one contender fight.

I don't like rematches right away. So whenever then is a close fight is there going to be a rematch every single time?

I think he deserves a rematch, BUT, I think he must fight for it. Take the next contender and have Chael fight him. This will also help fill the void of hype in the weight class while Anderson recovers.
