In my opinion, a coach can waste a lot of time communicating with parents and players without a team website. With a site, you can skip email chains, phone trees, etc. Just post your info and people can check the site at their own convenience. It makes things much easier.

www.stadiumroar.com is probably the best service out there for a quick, free team site.
