Hi everybody,

I started a petition to fire Andy Reid last month and so far well over 1,000 people have signed it. If you have not seen it yet please have a look at:

Thanks everybody.

Andy Reid is a great chapter in the book of Eagles history. However, it is time to turn the page as begin writing the rest of the story.

I agree....it was good while it lasted...like the braves in baseball, the Eagles didnt take advantage of those NFC title games....the window has shut and its time to rebuild.

I think that the most people to sign this patition is the cowgirls.

Look out now and lets hope the same team shows up the next 4 games.

You are a complete idiot. Andy Reid has led the Eagles to the playoffs in 7 of his 10 years here. Go check you facts and see how many other coaches have done that. He's got the team in position to be good for the next 5 plus years. Reid has completely rebuilt the defense from it's hayday of McNabb's first couple of years. I really hate small minded, fickle fans such as yourself. If they were to fire Reid, who comes in and replaces him? Reid is the third winninest coach, behind Dungy and Evil Bill, since the 99 season. You have no idea what the hell you're talking about and you should do everyone a favor and keep you man pleaser shut.

You are a complete idiot. Andy Reid has led the Eagles to the playoffs in 7 of his 10 years here. Go check your facts and see how many coaches have done that. Since 1999 he has the third highest winning percentage, behind Dungy and Cheater Bill. Reid has completely rebuilt the defense to again, be an elite unit. I really hate small minded, fickle fans such as yourself. You should do everyone a favor and keep your man pleaser shut. The real fact of the matter is Reid has become a victim of his own success. Can you really complain that every year the Eagles are competitive??? How many franchises can claim over the past 8 years they have had a legitimate shot at making the playoffs? Three maybe four. So, until you learn what football is, don't write on any more message boards, you're an ignorant dip sh&t.

Willy I agree 110% with what you said. Eagles fans have been spoiled with wins for years, and as soon as 1 or 2 losing seasons appear, they get the pitch forks and torches and call for someones head. I like your point about how Andy Ried has become a victim of his own success.

The way I look at it, the Philadelphia Eagles are like an old car that has been takin care of for years to fans. I guess that no matter how well it runs, you can only look at it for so long until you want something new.

I agree with Willy and Rayneman. These McNabb and Reid haters just make it difficult for me to enjoy the birds sometimes. To look back over the last 10 years of this franchise and then remember Bobby Hoying and Rich Kotite ... what are these people smoking to be complaining now?

Neither Reid nor McNabb have been perfect, and I understand that their personalities are not the perfect fit for the personality of the city (like Dawk's is), but at SOME point they just need to make even some casual contact with reality. This is probably the tail end of one of the most incredible franchise runs in sports history. How many winning seasons in how many years? How many years in the post-season? How many championship games? I KNOW! They haven't won the big one, but quite frankly that's the ONLY think they haven't won.

January 3, 2009  06:04 PM ET

i hope the iggles do fire andy reid so they'll stink worse than they do now... it would be a HUGE mistake, similar to that made by the broncos letting shanahan go

January 3, 2009  06:50 PM ET

They won't find a better coach. If they go far in the playoffs will you still want Reid fired. Not a eagles fan but looking at all the other candidates for the NFL coaching positions. Stick with Reid.

January 3, 2009  07:36 PM ET

Leave the guy alone. It's a competitive league, and we have a solid team every year.

January 3, 2009  11:25 PM ET

Go ahead and fire him and let McNabb go we will love him here in Minnesota.

January 7, 2009  02:46 PM ET

Idiots. Andy Reid is the best coach we've ever had (and McNabb the best QB we've ever had) and you want to fire them. I HATE fans like you, A.D.D. addled morons who think they know more about football than the pros. I don't drink the Andy Reid koolaid and think "One game at a time" and "we're fine at receiver" but he IS a darn good coach and we've done well with him. Enough with this silly "FIRE REID, TRADE MCNABB, FIRE EVERYONE< BLRAGAGAGAGA" bull crap.

January 7, 2009  03:49 PM ET

I agree with Shaken

January 7, 2009  03:51 PM ET

I agree with Shaken. You call yourself fans of a team YET you want to two main reasons why Eagles was a great football gone.....

January 7, 2009  04:27 PM ET

I'm wiht Shaken. "ADD addled." ignorant.

January 10, 2009  12:59 PM ET

Yes the team needs help - but not at coaching. If you remember, TO brought instant glory to McNabb and Reid's life. Super Bowl - The wideouts in Philly are okay, but just imagine somebody like a TO or Fitzgerald or Moss in that line-up again. Three words- Super Bowl again! Leave Reid and McNabb alone and get the guys some hands. Dumb a**

January 10, 2009  01:05 PM ET

Idiot. Leave the coaching and McNabb alone. Remember TO? Super Bowl? Give the boys' some hands and watch them return. Who's gonna coach them? Some college nerd who failed in NCAA? Look around the league...besides the Patriots, the Eagles have been a dominant team for nearly a decade. The NFC East is the hardest - Kolb's not ready and #5 needs some deep speed. Invest your petition to get somebody like TO back in the lineup and watch the parade down Broad Street. Dumb a**

January 11, 2009  12:47 AM ET

Andy and Donovan will be back next year so you can waste as much time as you would like with your petition. LOL who do you think you are to call for Andy Reids head. I bet as soon as Jeffry Lurrie recieves your petition of a whopping 1,000 people which is not even enough to fill the urinals at Lincoln Financial. He will have no choice but to release Andy from the Eagles LOL. Wake up because you and your petition mean nothing to the organization and the fans. Do everyone a favor and show your true colors because I think you bleed silver and blue.

January 11, 2009  05:11 PM ET

Gilbride and Coughlin are helping to keep Andy around. Before th eEagles stop the run lets abandne it.

January 11, 2009  05:25 PM ET

I signed it back in November. How do I remove my name?
