That is a great match.
I feel for him, as he had a shot at the champ and now he will need to pass through Sonnen first. but on the other hand, a win against Sonnen will legitimize him fighting Silva.

What do you think, FN???

I think that Vitor has a better sprawl for stopping Sonnen than Anderson, and is actually a better BJJ fighter than Anderson.

Vitor also has a better striking skill set for Sonnen; less kicks and knees and more lighting fast punching.

I think that Vitor dominates Chael and then gets his shot.

I am intrigued to see Vitor Belfort's 185 pound debut in the UFC.

while I agree with you, we have to see how Vitor comes back. Don't forget that he is coming out of a long layoff and Sonnen is not someone you want on your first fight back.

sonnen is not a good warm up though.
Warmup is usually a guy who is not the #2 contender.
I don't like it (from Vitor's perspective). If he loses to Sonnen, he's last in line for a title shot. That is not fair to him

note: While I don't like the fact he was handed a title shot, it was his. Taking it away is not nice.

Sonnen is still on step ahead of Leben. if Vitor could pass through Leben, it would be enough to legitimize his title shot.
