NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > What's your favorite position?

The college football season is almost (finally) here. So, with that in mind, is there a position you watch during the game more than others?

The QB has the ball on every snap, but so much of the game depends on the line play.

I like to watch the linebackers (when we are on D). How they react and move to the ball is definitely exciting.

Watching the guards or fullback on O usually gives a good idea on where the ball is going, and you get to see some really good hits.

So, how about it? what position do you like to watch?

Oh...it's about football?

Not any particular position, just the play in general...however I really like the Skycam when it is behind the play and you can almost feel part of the play...

Flanker ;)

In football Fullback, loved watching Billy Latsko when he played for the Gators. Also nasty mean O-linemen are fun to watch.

Is there a different position you watch when you are at the game as opposed to on TV? At the game, you can watch whatever you want, but you only get to see it once. On tv, you only get to see what they want you to see, but get to see 20 times.

At the games, get to watch a lot of the line play...more so than on TV.

Default, I agree with this. When you get to sit in the end zone seats, you get to see the whole field, and watch the holes open up/get closed. You can really get a sense on who is pushing whom around.

I like the receiver. Great to watch the runs and the routes.

Good choice of title.

I have a thing for linebackers and tight ends.

(I know it's difficult with the title of the thread, but get your minds out of the gutter!)

:)

I like to watch the tight end of the cheerleaders.

Tight end

Damn! You know over her in Iraq away from the wife makes the mind wonder. I actually got a little excited to see this thread...........Ha!

I like Punters and Deep Snappers. Best positions on the team.

"So you're telling me all I have to do is kick the ball but I don 't have the pressure of the place kicker?" - I.M. Punter

" I just snap the ball a few times a games and get to go to school for free? Best lineman job ever!" - I.B. Snapper

I agree with linebackers on defense. I like watching the receivers on routes (from the Spurrier days...)

I like split tails...I mean split ends

I hope you're not an A&M fan saying that!

+1 to this as well. Great angles from this bit of tech on the field.

When I'm watching a game on TV and I don't have to root for (or against) anyone, I end up watching whatever players are having huge games....a linebacker with 18 tackles, a DE with 4 sacks, a reciever with 12 catches, a RB with 150+ yards....its amazing to see someone make the game look that easy.

Good call there. LInebackers are certainly great to watch.

QB is easy to watch, i focus more on what the other guys are doing.....how they move, react, run their route..
