NFL  > Cleveland Browns  > Jim Brown won't be missed at Ring of Honor ceremony.
September 1, 2010, 10:03 AM
A. I'm tired of hearing about how Jim Brown will not be attending the ceremony.
Maybe a little attention to those that WILL attend is warranted.
B. His letter to Holmgren/Lerner was a race-filled piece of garbage.
C. Everyone knows how great of a football player you were--45 years ago. Now,
we know how much of an **** you are.
D. The ceremony is in your honor, as well as your fellow Football Hall of Fame
inductees. It also is for the fans. No one is asking you to be their puppet for
the night--just that you show up and be remembered for what you brought to
this franchise as player.
E. Despite all of this, you will still get the loudest ovation of all those that actually
attend. I hope I'm wrong on that, though.

Way to go Cleveland. No wonder LeBron left if this is the way you treat your HOF caliber players. It's little wonder that Cleveland has traditionally had the worst teams in the NBA, NFL and MLB. Literally no city fails as much as Cleveland.Perhaps it's karma for the way you have treated Jim Brown, Art Modell, leBron and other heros.Enjoy losing.

I have to disagree, Jim Brown is a total **** hole, **** head, **** rag, self absorbed $duche$(that is for you Rocker...LOL). He does not care about the Browns or anyone else but himself. All he wants is to be the loudest **** face in the building. He was using his status as a once great player and taking advantage of it to get money. I mean seriously, what the hell was the really advising??? He's not a coach, coordinator, or even a scout. Occasionally he may talk to a troubled young player. **** him. He's not even a nice guy by any streatch, nor have I ever even seen a clip of him being one. I say if he wants to be a contribute to the team, put him in the backfield on the practice squad so they can tackle the **** out of him

(hahaha, I put in all thoes stars myself, I figured if im going to be sensored I may as well do it myself)

I now put Brown in the same category as the Reverend Jessie Jackson, that of promoting racism for racism's sake. In stead of working to eliminate racism, they work to grow it. How much better would everyone on both sides of this be if they would just let it be a non issue. No mater how hard he tries to make you think he is, Reverend Jessie Jackson will never be M.L.K.

I hope this opens some eyes, it seams they just keep getting a free pass.

Also because of his antics, I hope he is not even included in the Ring of Honor, Honor being the key word.

Why should he...when he played for the Browns, they had no respect for him.

Bill Russell did the same thing, he never went back to Boston after winning his last title.

After winning his last title somebody broke into Bill Russell's house, and did not take one thing...they went into his bedroom, and **** in his bed...

Bill Russell never went back to Boston...until a few weeks before Red Aeurbach died he pleaded with him to come back, so that they could honor him.

Jim Brown associates himself with the Baltimore Ravens, the original Cleveland Browns.

****!! I was thinking the exact same thing!! Good call!
I didnt want to be the first one to say it because knowing my country roots, I would be the first one that someone would say I was being racist...LOL
Brown has done everything that another certain prick has done except say something like, He is upset because Donavan McNabb isnt playing like a black QB should play.... hmmmmm wonder what **** bird said that

He was working for Randy Lerner. If he associates himself with the Ravens, it's been a recent change.Brown got treated badly, and not just in Cleveland. He is an angry man and there is good reason for some of that. But he has been his worst enemy at times, and this seems like one of them.

He associated himself with the Baltimore Ravens while Art Modell owned them...Art Modell only sold the franchise within that last ten years. I do not know if still associates with any team today, he is over 60 now, I guess it is not as important to him as it used to be.

Russell or no member of his family was there...but how would you feel if somebody broke into your house and did not take anything, just used the bathroom in your bed...I would feel VIOLATED...

Could not resist...

These are men who sat in the back of the bus, who were refused service in public businesses, were arrested for peaceful protest, denied the right to vote...but still paid taxes...now they don't have the right to speak freely on equality, a subject where they should be considered an experts on, people who experienced what it is to be denied equality by society...
