If this just finished preseason is any indicator of the kind of season it will be, then the so called "expectations" of the Cowboys playing in the SB at Cowboys Stadium will likely not happen. The odds against it outweigh the probability of that happening anyway, so I really don't expect it. It would be a pleasant surprise if it does happen, however, but I'm going to be realistic. I watched a few other teams play during the preseason, but they only show vanilla stuff and play people you've never heard of, and it's real easy to lose interest.

With that being said, I will continue to watch my team, and support them as I have for over 40 years. Those of you who know me, know I love football and will watch your teams play as well. I have seen some outstanding players and games through the years, not just from the Cowboys, but from the Bears, the Browns, Steelers, division rivals, and all other teams, and that's what makes this game what it is, and why I love it. Yes, I would love the Cowboys in the SB every year, but that's not feasible, and I accept that as what it is. I enjoyed seeing the Saints win last year (Sorry Dawn), but they did have a formidable foe in the Colts, and it was a very good game.

I don't know that the Cowboys will ever make it back to the SB with the owner we have, or even the coaches. But, I will continue to watch them, and other teams as well, and continue to enjoy the game for what it is............a kids game played by men.

While I am here, I'd like to mention my opinion about certain people (and there are some Cowboys fans among them) who love to trash talk other teams, and their fans. I am NOT one of these people, and care nothing about their ways of getting attention. There is no call for that kind of rubbish, but it happens and likely will continue. Those of you who enjoy intelligent conversation about the game, feel free to chat. Those of you who do the troll thing, be advised that I have no problem saying something embarrassing to you, regardless of your team affiliation.

howdy doo Bull ! Good thread. The troll you are commenting about is a freaking nut, not matter what you said to the dude, he called you a hater, then trashed your team, and cried that his wasn`t getting respect.I`m sure the other Dallas troll will be out soon enough to ruin things also, but anyway, good luck this year, and good to see you back on the boards.

hOWDY dOO tO yOU, tOO, cUSS!<<< (Just thought I'd be different for a change....lol)

America's Team Fan is who you're referring to, I'm assuming? Well, that's one of the reasons I posted this so that instead of me chasing him down in outdated threads, he can come to me if he so chooses. He and Mr Phallus both. But, chasing and trying to give trolls an attitude adjustment is not my main objective, but I won't shy from them.....lol...... I came to discuss football again, and the season is about ready to rumble......!!

Good to see you Bull, the young Trolls and Haters are starting to trickle in already, the old Wiley trolls are probably laying in the wait to make their appearances.

I think going into this season there are no certanties. There are a lot of teams that have a shot and predictions are kind of hard to make. Sports Illustrated predicts a Steelers-Packers Super Bowel with the Steelers winning, but anything is possible. I hope they are right though!!!!

Likewise GSH......I've noticed a new Cowboys fan who seems to be a purebred idiot already. These kind seem to actually believe the Cowboys are superior to any other team, regardless of how they play. It amazes me how these braggarts can say the things they do and have no way to back their words up........lol.... what angers me more tho, is to talk down to another teams fans. That's unnecessary.
I'm prepared for any and all trolls tho.

ha ha ! yeppers, thats the guy, it`s easy to figure out who the trolls are for sure.Who does Dallas open with this year ?

The Redskins. Not sure how they're going to do tho. McNabb has an ankle sprain thing and may not even play. It's going to be weird to see him in a 'Skins uniform, and Kolb QB'ing the Eagles.

The Steelers are going to have a tough time initially. Big Ben being suspended ....now to 4 games instead of 6....and I think that other guy sprained his ankle.......Can't think of his name, the former Jags QB. The Packers look good tho. Should be an interesting season to say the least.

I'm looking forward to some great games, regardless of teams playing.

great matchup, for the first week or any week. It does look weird to see McNabb in a Redskin uni, but once again, I`m buying into the Redskins having a good team, mainly because of Shanahan. When Snyder has bought teams in the past, on I don`t know how many times and failed, I learnt not to buy into it, but Shanahan make it different for me.

I don't think Snyder was very fair with Zorn, in my opinion. But then, Seattle wasn't very fair with Jim Whatshisface,Jr., either (His last name escapes me at the moment). You have to have time to get rid of underachievers, malcontents and what have you, and one and two years is not enough to do that. Snyder is similar to Jerry Jones in the aspect of "winning now" at all costs. Jones has learned somewhat to be patient, but not sure if Snyder ever will.

The one thing Snyder is going to have to do is let Shanahan do his thing and keep his hooves out of it.

Hey Philly! Good to see you still hangin' about! I've been doing okay I guess. It should be an interesting season to say the least. I know you're not a troll for sure. Just passionate about the Eagles as we all are to some extent about our teams. Now that McNabb is gone, I know you're going to support Kolb then? He's a Texas boy, so he should be fine......lol

I'm down with that,as far as Pre-Season?,don't make a hoot of difference,I wish Yer Team Luck though as with Everyone Else's right now,Let's have great talk after the 1st Game played.

Howdy Eazy!
Now that I have "better" internet service, I'm likely to be here more often, but got to watch the allowance, or I'll be on dial up speed (Hughesnet). It kind of sucks about them controlling your speed like they do......long story, but 10% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
Good luck with the Bengals, my friend, especially with Owens......that should be an interesting storyline in itself, between him and Ochocinco.

Zorn was a bad hire in the first place, as a head coach, he just wasn`t ready at all.I am surprised that Synder got Shanahan, cause of how he meddles in stuff, maybe he will stay out and things will be good, who knows ?

You may be right, Cuss, but when and how does one "get ready" unless they get experience? The kind of experience Zorn got, may very well work against him in future hires because of the fact he didn't get enough time to prove himself. But then again, the NFL is funny that way. Mangini was a flop with the NY Jets, but managed to hook on with the Browns almost as soon as he got fired. Go figure.
Time will tell with Snyder and Shanahan.
