Yeah when was the last time a team went out and got a ton of big personalities... oh yeah the Redskins, how did that work out? No they are not SB bound and I don't think they even make the play-offs... Sanchez is way too inconsistent and it doesn't matter how good your D is if your O keeps turning the ball over. So Sanchez will have to take some huge strides for them to be legit, as well as alot of "superstars" will have to get their egos in check and play as a team... thats alot of ifs there.
The Jets will be exposed, they will to be able to run the ball like they did last season...which puts tremendous pressure on Sanchez...I say he chokes all season...

I overlooked that earlier....^^^Surely you are not saying that both the Bengles and the Chargers laid down and that is why the Jets beat them in rout to the AFC championship game??????I am not a Jets fan and certainly not a fan of Fat Cheeks, but I am a fan of giving credit where credit is due. I think the Jets have a solid chance to challenge for the AFC, they are my preseason pick actually to lose to the Saints in the SB.At the same time as picking them to go to the SB, I wouldn't be overly surprised if the even failed to make it to the playoffs. It sounds strange I know, but there are a lot of variables that will effect their success on offense. If their offense can produce, I think they are a top 3 team in the AFC, If they flounder on offense and turn the ball over, they are just a top 3 team in the AFC East. We'll see...
I could be wrong but I think he meant the last 2 regular season games where the Bengals and the Colts did lay down, obviously without those 2 wins the Jets don't make the playoffs.
If I were a Jet's fan I'd worry about all the pressure that is on this team, they are expected to make the playoff's this year and play well into January anything less and the N.Y. media will be all over them.
I'll sit back and watch. If they win they do if not then it was just a hype machine that pumped up a bunch of heads. Like they have done with the Cowboys.

True enough, but it doesn't take away from what they did when they got to the playoffs.
Never said it did. They went out and beat 2 teams to get to that AFC Championship game, they earned the right to play in that game and they played well, I wanted them to win.

Are you sure it was playing well vs the other teams playing poorly?
because when the colts played them for real, they crushed them.
Bad karma to wish ill on anyone but the first three weeks are gonna expose this kid's abilities
right down to the bone....especially if he gets behind.
Coach McSlim didn't do this guy any favors either with all the chest beating either...
Lets face it...this Jets team was compleatly and totally overated and overhyped. Everybody being endeared by the Hard Knocks show. Everybody living in the glory days of going to the AFC championship. But not once did anybody bring up the realities of last years season...you know when Rex was crying like a little B*tch because he thought he was out of the playoff hunt. Or the fact that the only reason the Jets even made it to the wild card was becasue Miami choked in the last 3 games and Indy sat all off its real players and the Jets pretty much played Indy's second string. A decent win in Cinci and got lucky in San Diego. But when Indy showed up...they showed the Jets for the farse that they are and stomped them properly. Fast forward 8 months and a reality show later...and they pick up right where they left off...getting stomped by one of the best AFC teams. So good luck with your season because you are going to need it.
And PS: Tell Rex to keep on talking...its entertaining...esspecially when he can't back it up.
