Matt Leinart's ranking this preseason:

Passer Rating: 104.6 = 17th
Comp %: 78.6 = 6th (Better than Brees, Manning etc)

Derek Anderson, new starter for Cards:

Passer Rating = 73.1 (Just below Alex Smith and on par with Brady Quinn)
Comp %: 58.9 = 54th

Max Hall, the guy Peter King is in love with and thinks will start this year:

Passer Rating: 92.4 = 34th (hey, better than Vince Young. Counts for...something?)
Comp %: 59.3 = 53rd

Good job, Cards, on dropping the guy with the exact opposite performance you stated he had.

After a Super Bowl winning, super bowl game bringing QB leaves the team, of course players are going to want him back. before matt even got a fair shot, you dropped him for guys ranked in the middle to bottom of the league this preseason.

You guy's aren't going anywhere for awhile

There is a reason Leinart has such a high completion percentage, they're all check down passes. He couldn't push the ball down the field and Anderson could. Arizona needs a QB who can push the ball, result.. Anderson is the starter.

Yeah I just can't possibly see where Anderson is going to be any type of an upgrade. There is obviously more to this, Leinart should have been given a chance in the reg season...at least a couple of games. Whiz already knew he was going to kick Leinart to the curb he should have done it in the off-season though and given Leinart more of a chance to catch on and compete with a new club. Now I see Leinart has signed with Houston and he obviously is not gonna be in the mix there at any point with Schaub developing into a franchise guy.

Lienart could not move the ball. His stats are decieving because his completions where check down passes. He couldn't handle blitz's and pressure in the pocket. He's not a starting NFL QB.
